Project: Bluffs
As in Scarborough Bluffs.
This is my local area, so me being a very lazy person I decided to paint what was close at hand.
Some of these are meant to resemble the view of the bluffs from on the water looking east from around Bluffers Park, where I used to kayak. The lake is like glass early in the morning in summer and the bluffs recede into the distance.
The objective with all of them was to break down the landscape into its simplist recognizable components and then riff on some colour combinations. I'm not interested in a faithful representation of the landscape, there are many many super talented artists working that beat already.
